After a rewarding tenure at Sugarfin, where I honed my craft in blending traditional and modern culinary practices, I'm ready to dive into new culinary adventures across the globe and bring that richness back to the Caribbean.
My travels will first take me to the stunning Amalfi Coast in Italy, where I plan to immerse myself in the ancient fishing towns, drawing inspiration from their seafood dishes and techniques. The picturesque coastal settings, coupled with the rich culinary heritage, offer a perfect backdrop for developing innovative recipes that reflect the simplicity and elegance of Italian cuisine.
From Italy, my journey will lead me to the bustling city of New York, where I will dine at the latest sushi hotspot in Midtown East. This visit is not only a culinary exploration but also a precious opportunity to reconnect with family and friends. Each destination is carefully chosen to enrich my understanding and mastery of global and local cuisines, enhancing the dishes I will create in the future.
In May 2024, I will take the helm as Executive Chef at The Hull Bay Hideaway on the Northside of St. Thomas. The Hideaway is a true gem, with 2 beachfront villas and 8 beachside cottages that can comfortably accommodate 36 overnight guests. The resort has been designed to harmonize with the lush Caribbean landscape, embodying a barefoot-luxury vibe that is unparalleled on the island. Here, I will infuse the menus with the essence of my travels, blending local Caribbean ingredients with global culinary innovations to offer guests a unique dining experience.
